Williamson County Courthouse
Williamson County's present Greek
Revival Courthouse is actually the
county's fifth courthouse since 1849.
The cornerstone for the building was
laid in October of 1910 (with the
Georgetown Masonic Lodge in
charge of the elaborate ceremonies)
and completed in 1911. The
Courthouse, with it's large copper
dome topped by the figure of justice
and surrounded by four large clock
faces, serves as the centerpiece for
Georgetown's historic downtown
square and can be seen from many
vantage points around town.
